WOODBINE MOHAWK PARK — MONDAY, JULY 20, 2026

Tonight’s Card Preview

It’s a big Monday night at Mohawk Park as the Woodbine Standardbred 5 Nights Racing schedule kicks off another week with a stacked 13-race card and a $75,000 Guaranteed Early Pick 5 spanning Races 1 through 5. Post time is 6:30 p.m., and horseplayers get a strong mix of maiden and sires stakes action, claiming events, and three straight legs of the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots Series for two-year-old pacing colts to close out the night.

The undercard features several storylines worth following, including trotter M E Laurel entering as the 2-1 favorite in Race 1 off a strong closing effort in stakes company, and 3-year-old filly pacer Bella Chica riding a four-race winning streak into Race 9’s Grassroots test.

FEATURE RACE: Race 13 — Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots Leg 2 (2-Year-Old Pacing Colts & Geldings)

Purse: $30,000

The night wraps up with the deepest and most anticipated division of the card. C Script enters as the 6-5 morning line favorite and the clear class of the field, undefeated in two career starts for driver Doug McNair and trainer R Gregg McNair. His most recent tally was the more impressive of the two — after a mid-race shuffle back to fourth, he powered back first-over on the final turn and unleashed a sub-27 closing quarter to get up right at the wire.

He won’t have it easy, though. Cheddarlucknxttime is two-for-two on the board with in-the-money finishes and gave C Script a game run last time out. And keep an eye on Odds On Hoaxster, a wild-card shipper from Indiana making his Ontario debut off two blowout qualifying wins featuring rapid closing back-halves — the kind of raw speed that could make this a real horse race rather than a coronation.

With the $75,000 guaranteed Pick 5 already decided by post time for Race 13, this finale should draw plenty of attention in the Trifecta, Superfecta, and Jackpot Hi-5 pools.

All races can be wagered on via the HPIBET.com platform and we have provided an easy to access link to get you set up with a safe and secure wagering account.

RACE 2 – 2YO Filly Maiden Trot

  1. BEAUTS CABARET (7-2) – Dropped over three seconds in her second qualifier and cruised home, the sharpest debut mile in the field.

  3. DATAPRIVACY (4-1) – Elite Determination homebred that improved in her second qualifier and trotted home well late.
