Post time is 1:00 PM as Leamington welcomes horsemen and fans back for the start of its meet, operated by the Lakeshore Horse Racing Association. It’s a ten-race card mixing pace and trot, with the Pick 5 launching in Race 1 and the Pick 4 getting underway in Race 6.
Feature Race: Race 6 carries the richest purse on the card at $6,800 and doubles as the Pick 4 opener. It’s loaded with the class of the night — headlined by Remember The Beach, a lifetime winner of nearly $295,000 who was gate-to-wire tough in his last effort before fading late, and Ys Delight, a $190,000 career earner who’s been racing in the Preferred ranks at Sarnia. Add in Odds On Kickoff, who’s been in the money in 16 of his last 22 starts, and Talldarklatte, unbeaten-caliber in her last several trips with six seconds in her last nine starts, and you’ve got the toughest, most competitive field of the afternoon.

RACE 1 — Pace, CL $12,500 (N/W $10,000 lifetime)
- Ohio (PP7, 3-1) – Most consistent horse in the field with three top-3 finishes in her last four starts and trainer Brad Moore’s meet-leading .356 win rate behind her.
- Father Hughie D (PP1, 4-1) – Finished second in her last actual start and gets a capable driver in a race that suits her class.
- Mountain Dancer (PP4, 6-1) – Won two starts back and has the higher class rating ($15,000 tag) to overpower this group if she rebounds from a flat effort. Longshot: Thewaltzingweasel (PP6, 8-1) – Has been steadily working forward in her last two starts and gives live driver Scott Wray a mount capable of an in-the-money upset.
RACE 2 — Pace, CL $7,000
- Thunderbolt Run (PP4, 3-1) – Comes in with two wins in his last several starts and trainer Cameron McQueen’s strong .319 clip.
- Wheretobuddyboy (PP1, 2-1) – The favorite has stacked up minor placings all summer and fits this claiming level well.
- Minnie Million (PP5, 8-1) – Repeatedly in-the-money recently and gets the meet’s top driver, Garrett Rooney, in the bike. Longshot: Full Race Cam (PP6, 8-1) – Has flashed a second-place finish from off the pace and can sneak into the superfecta mix if the pace collapses late.

- Final Rinse (PP5, 2-1) – Just scored a wire-to-wire win last out with the meet’s top driver, Garrett Rooney, aboard again.
- Lady Helena (PP3, 3-1) – Trainer Jim Jarvis’s exceptional .434 win rate stands out, and she was closing hard in a troubled runner-up finish last time.
- Cloudys Boy (PP4, 4-1) – Has a recent win and a close-second finish, showing legitimate tactical speed for this level. Longshot: Minnie Peeps (PP7, 8-1) – Has been within a length of the front in two of her last three starts with a live driver aboard.
RACE 4 — Pace, CL $10,500
- Grand Circuit (PP2, 7-2) – Closes hard nearly every start, scored a dead-heat win last month, and is trained by the meet’s strongest percentage conditioner, Cameron McQueen.
- Mostly Dali (PP4, 9-5) – The veteran mare has finished top-three in five of her last six starts, showing rock-solid class consistency.
- In The Circle (PP1, 4-1) – Owns a dominant gate-to-wire win from this same rail post two starts back. Longshot: Moneybags (PP6, 10-1) – Scored at odds-on two starts back and is conditioned by Brad Moore, the highest-percentage trainer on the entire card.

- Dapper Fella (PP3, 4-1) – In the money in 11 of 20 starts this year, with a recent wire-to-wire victory. Longshot: Jewels Diamondeyes (PP5, 8-1) – Won back-to-back starts just a few weeks ago and gets the meet’s top driver, Garrett Rooney.
RACE 7 — Pace, N/W $3,500 last 3 starts (Opt Clm $15,000)

- Ys Delight (PP2, 8-5) – A proven class horse with three wins in his last eight starts, dropping into a winnable spot.
- Dalissecretweapon (PP1, 10-1) – Two wins in his last six starts plus a rallying third last time make him live value at a big price. Longshot: William Ross (PP4, 8-1) – Has finished on or near the lead in five of his last six starts, including a recent win.
RACE 8 — Pace, CL $7,000
- Livin Large (PP3, 7-2) – A 58% in-the-money rate this year with two recent wins under a top-flight trainer.
- Darkside Of Wicked (PP4, 3-1) – Shows a repeated closing rally pattern and scored from off the pace just last month.

- Arbela Hanover (PP1, 4-1) – Rallied from off the pace for an impressive win last month and is trained by the highest-percentage trainer on the card (.402).
- Jooner (PP6, 7-2) – Was just nosed out for second last time and holds a solid recent in-the-money pattern. Longshot: Rose Run Zeb (PP4, 6-1) – Has a recent driving win in his book and can factor early if he avoids the trouble that cost him last time.
RACE 10 — Pace, CL $7,000
- Lucy And Ethel (PP1, 8-5) – Romped home last time out and has been in the money in 6 of her last 8 starts under a strong trainer.
- Big Mach N (PP6, 8-1) – In the money in six of his last seven starts, and the meet’s top driver, Garrett Rooney, takes over the lines.
- Fashion Forward (PP4, 2-1) – Two wins in her recent form cycle for one of the meet’s most efficient trainers (.323). Longshot: Slick N Sporty (PP3, 8-1) – Won his last legitimate start driving hard through the lane and has the tactical speed to be relevant again.
A note on methodology: Picks weighted recent in-the-money frequency, closing patterns (rallying vs. fading), trainer/driver win percentages, and class fit ahead of raw morning-line odds — several selections above (e.g., Woodmere Denver, Muchtooyoungforyou, Ireland Seelster) aren’t the betting favorites but graded out strongest on the underlying data.
