Good evening harness racing fans and welcome to Western Fair Raceway in London, Ontario for tonight’s exciting card of Standardbred racing!

First post is scheduled for 7:00 PM with a full 12-race program lined up for your wagering pleasure.

Tonight’s feature is Race 6 — The $12,500 Preferred Trot, going to post at approximately 9:30 PM. This is the best of the best on the grounds as eight top trotters battle it out over the mile oval. Keep your eyes on Siesta Sandman, the young 4-year-old who lit up the board with a sharp win on May 11, taking on the seasoned veteran Southwind Domino, a multiple winner at Woodbine Mohawk this season. Also in the mix is the red-hot Supersonic Hanover, fresh off a wire-to-wire score right here at Western Fair just two weeks ago.

Tonight also features two legs of the London Classic Sale Series — Races 1, 9, and 11 — showcasing the best Ontario-sired young horses in the region, headlined by the unbeaten Skip The Honey, who demolished his rivals by 8 lengths in 1:54.3 last week in one of the most dominant performances seen at this oval all season.

Tonight’s wagering menu includes Trifectas, Exactas, Superfectas, Pick 3s, Pick 4s, and a $5,000 Guaranteed Pick 5 on races 8 through 12.

So grab your program, study your selections, and get ready for a fantastic night of harness racing action here at Western Fair Raceway — where the action never stops

RACE 1 — Trot, $8,000, London Classic Sale Series, Ontario Sired 4YO & Younger, NW $10,000 Life

Top 3 Contenders:

  1. #5 Southern Cowboy (8-5) — Three wins from four starts at Flamboro and London in 2026 including an impressive 8½-length score, Gerard Demers training at 25% meet win rate with Sorrie driving at 18.6% — the class of this field by lifetime earnings and recent dominance.
  2. #8 High Value (3-1) — Consistent placings at London throughout 2026 including a second and multiple thirds, Kyle Bossence at 26% meet win rate, Maclellan driving, and his 3-1 morning line is generous given his consistency.
  3. #6 Yacht Club (4-1) — Won at London on April 13 and has been placing steadily, Demers barn’s second entry gives the stable a great double shot, Fillion riding at 14% win rate.

Longshot Value Play: #9 Tango in the Night (9-2) Won his only career start at Grand River at 1:57.3 for trainer/driver Chris Matthews who posts a 48% win rate, and his qualifying line on April 27 at Woodbine was sharp — led wire to wire and showed natural gate speed that suits post 9 in this short field. The 9-2 price looks generous for a horse trained and driven by the same person at 48%.

RACE 2 — Trot, $7,500, NW $3,000 or a Race Lifetime

Top 3 Contenders:

  1. #5 Taos (2-1) — Ran second last out May 11 at London in a photo finish, Stephen Bossence training at 32% meet rate, Rooney driving at 20% — the sharp improvement from May 4 to May 11 suggests a win is imminent.
  2. #4 Bad Lil B (3-1) — Multiple placings at London in 2026 including a second in a photo May 11, Lorne House training and driving at consistent 12% win rate at the meet, has front-speed to control from post 2.
  3. #2 Sister Scarlett (15-1) — Has been working back into form through qualifiers at Woodbine and showed decent gate speed in her Sep 2024 race lines, Mark Etsell who is 23% as a trainer gets her out of the outside post.

Longshot Value Play: #6 The Dalmore (6-1) Won a qualifier at London on April 23 in gate-to-wire fashion, Ashley Duford training at 17% win rate and Dennis Duford driving — this filly connection (owner/trainer/driver all Duford family) is very tight and motivated. Won that qualifier by a nose after losing the lead briefly, showing fight. A maiden who is sharp and improving at 6-1 represents real value.

RACE 3 — Pace, $6,000, Fillies & Mares, Claiming $8,000

Top 3 Contenders:

  1. #5 Heavens Lil Dragon (8-5) — Won at London on April 21 and ran second in a stakes try at Flamboro on May 9, Jodie Cullen training at a massive 41% win rate at the meet, Travis Cullen driving at 40% — the most powerful stable connection on the card.
  2. #1 Alessandra (9-5) — Won last out May 8 and has two wins from eight starts in 2026, Rachel Andrew training at 31%, Sorrie driving at 19% — these two are nearly co-favorites and both deserve top billing.
  3. #4 Honey So Sweet (4-1) — Two wins from twelve starts in 2026, finished second by a head on May 1, Sumner at 31% meet win rate and Rooney driving at 20% — very consistent at this level.

Longshot Value Play: #8 Betternredder (10-1) Won wire to wire on May 8 by nearly 6 lengths in 1:58 flat — the most dominant recent win in this field — Donald Rankin Jr training and driving, who owns this horse and has 3 wins from 17 starts in 2026. She’s coming in off a big effort and the 10-1 morning line doesn’t reflect that May 8 performance at all.

RACE 4 — Trot, $8,600, NW $15,000 or 2 Races Lifetime

Top 3 Contenders:

  1. #2 Diamond Bank (5-2) — Ran second on May 4 in a sharp 2:01.3, Peter Core training at 20% meet win rate and driving, consistent placings throughout 2026, and from post 2 he gets every advantage in a 7-horse field.
  2. #4 Brydown Prime (3-1) — Won March 16 and has been placing consistently including a third on May 4, Pam Forgie at 14% training rate with Doyle at 11% driving — the form cycle shows steady improvement through the class levels.
  3. #1 Moxiebow (4-1) — Won November 24 wire to wire at this exact class, Jack Wray training, Scott Wray driving — she was showing good pace before scratches interrupted her campaign. Post 1 on the rail is an asset in the trot.

Longshot Value Play: #6 J M Celebrity (12-1) Steve Watson is 20% as a trainer at the meet and the 12-1 is far too high for a mare who has been competitive at this exact class level all spring. Her April 27 effort where she led briefly before fading suggests the fitness is there — Sorrie picks up the drive for Watson, and that cross-barn connection at the 12-1 price deserves attention.

RACE 5 — Pace, $8,200, Horses & Geldings, NW $12,000 or 2 Races Lifetime

Top 3 Contenders:

  1. #5 Walters Nip (7-5) — Three straight wins from three career starts in 2026, all at London, all gate to wire — Frank Baker Jr training at 100% win rate (3 from 3) and Tyler Borth driving at 27% — this horse is the most dominant recent form animal on the entire card.
  2. #4 Red Hot Powerplay (3-1) — Ran second by a head on May 5 in a very sharp 1:57.4, Jodie Cullen training at 41%, won at Flamboro on April 12 — the top two are clearly the class of this field.
  3. #7 Leave It To Lucan (4-1) — Ran second on May 12 just 2¼ lengths back in 1:58.2, Ryan Steward training at 19%, Lorne House driving at 13% — this horse has the consistent closing kick to be involved.

Longshot Value Play: #8 Full of Colors (15-1) Won a Nw2900 at Woodbine on November 3 in 1:55.2, which is by far the fastest lifetime mark in this field. Ran in much tougher company at Woodbine and was qualifying competitively at Trois-Rivières in April. The 15-1 is wild for a horse with the raw speed that his Woodbine lines show. Gagnon driving and training from post 8 — if he fires fresh he could gate and go.

RACE 6 — Trot, $12,500, Preferred

Top 3 Contenders:

  1. #7 Siesta Sandman (9-5) — Won on May 11 in 1:58 flat with a strong last quarter, Ashley Duford training at 17%, Doyle driving — a 4-year-old with career best times of 1:53 who is rounding into top form just as he hits the preferred level.
  2. #6 Southwind Domino (8-5) — Multiple top-class wins in 2026 including a March win at Woodbine, Garry Merner training at 29% meet rate, Travis Henry driving — has the highest class lines in the field and is the legitimate favorite in this spot.
  3. #8 Supersonic Hanover (3-1) — Won May 4 at London in 1:57.3 wire to wire, Blair Burgess training, Sorrie driving at 19% — three wins from 17 starts in 2026 and the most recent winner here.

Longshot Value Play: #9 Marvin Hagler (AE) / #4 Tymal Riggs (9-2) Tymal Riggs at 9-2 represents the best value in this race — won January 13 in 1:58.4 and ran third May 11 in the preferred, Mark Etsell training and driving at 23% and 0% respectively, but the horse ran creditably late in that May 11 line. A preferred-class horse who won earlier this year at 9-2 with a closing kick deserves respect.

RACE 7 — Pace, $6,000, Horses & Geldings, Claiming $8,000, NW $3,499 Last 5

Top 3 Contenders:

  1. #7 Greystone Watchman (5-2) — Won last out May 7 at Flamboro in 1:56.2 — the fastest time in this field from the most recent race — Guy Gagnon training and driving his own horse at an improving rate, fresh off a gate-to-wire win.
  2. #5 Jitterbug Flip (4-1) — Won April 27 at London by 6½ lengths in 1:57.4 wire to wire, Cassidy Schneider training at 13% meet rate, Galliers driving at 19% — two wins from four starts in April/May is the best recent form cycle.
  3. #2 Royal JK (9-5) — Ran second May 1 and has been consistently placing, Melissa Lamoureux training at 22% win rate, Fillion driving — the 9-5 favorite has the connections and consistency to be involved.

Longshot Value Play: #8 Bettors Dream (8-1) Robert Doyle training and driving his own horse, won wire to wire on April 20 in 1:58 flat by 5 lengths in this exact class — the most dominant single-race performance from any horse in this field. He’s 12 years old but clearly still capable at this level when he fires, and the 8-1 doesn’t reflect that April 20 effort.

RACE 8 — Pace, $5,000, Horses & Geldings, Claiming $8,000, NW $2,000 Last 5

Top 3 Contenders:

  1. #4 Papiamento (5-2) — Ran second May 3 at Flamboro by a nose in 1:58.0, Kayla Hendry at 25% training rate, Maclellan driving — a 12-year-old who is clearly still competitive and ran the best recent line in this field.
  2. #3 Mr Mach Jimmy (2-1) — Ran third May 11 improving late, Lindsey Kerr training at 9% meet rate but Rooney driving at 20%, and his April 6 sixth-place effort came at a higher class — has the fastest lifetime mark in this group.
  3. #5 Come On Barney (3-1) — Moore driving at 10%, Dwayne May training at 9%, has been unlucky not to win — finished fourth on April 13 in a competitive field and has the gate speed from post 5 to control.

Longshot Value Play: #2 Favaro Seelster (4-1) Doyle at 11% training rate, with 11 wins from 43 starts in 2025 at a higher class than today’s field. He’s been in tough company recently and this is the softest spot he’s been entered in all year — a horse with $43,000 in 2025 earnings dropping into a $5,000 purse NW$2,000 race has enormous class edge. The 4-1 is actually fair value given that class drop.

RACE 9 — Pace, $8,000, London Classic Sale Series, Ontario Sired 4YO & Younger, NW $10,000 Life

Top 3 Contenders:

  1. #6 French Bulldog (2-1) — Won last out May 12 in 1:58.2 wire to wire, also won May 1 at Woodbine in 1:54.4 — two wins in a row with Robert Kyle Fellows training at 50% win rate for the meet and Tyler Borth driving at 27%. The dominant form horse.
  2. #4 Twin B Betonit (8-5) — Three wins from five starts in 2026, the hottest form cycle in the field, Jodie Cullen training at 41% meet win rate — was pulled up May 12 but has multiple dominant gate-to-wire wins before that. Fitness is the only question.
  3. #5 Big Rooster (6-1) — Won April 14 and April 1 back to back, Don Thomson training at 40% win rate (2 from 5), Rooney driving — this Ontario-bred has shown a strong will to win from the front and the 6-1 price is generous.

Longshot Value Play: #1 End of the Trail (3-1) Won last out May 6 at The Meadows — the only horse in the field who has won recently outside Ontario in a tougher jurisdiction — trainer Jessica Hayter at 48% win rate (3 from 7 in 2026) which is extraordinary, Scott Young driving at 17%. He showed a massive final quarter closing kick of :28.4 in his May 6 win. The 3-1 is actually an overlay for this form.

RACE 10 — Trot, $10,400, NW $5,000 Last 3

Top 3 Contenders:

  1. #5 Royal Beluga (5-2) — Won April 1 at London in 2:00.1 and ran second May 2 at London — the most recent legitimate win in this field, Pamela Young training at 43% win rate (3 from 7), Galliers driving at 19%.
  2. #3 Allstar Goldi (3-1) — Ran second May 11 in a sharp 1:59.2 at London, Steve Watson training at 21% meet rate, House driving, and has the most consistent top-3 finishing record in the field in 2026.
  3. #2 Gucci Gucci Goo (2-1) — Won at Woodbine on April 10 in 1:56.2 — the fastest single-race line in this field — Kyle Ruhl training at 16%, Paul MacKenzie driving at 8% meet win rate. The class of the field based on fastest lines.

Longshot Value Play: #7 April Duford (8-1) Won May 4 at London and ran third in that same race as the second-place finisher — and has 2 wins from 13 starts in 2026 with 10 wins in 2025. Ashley Duford at 17% training, Doyle driving at 11% — the Duford family has been quietly effective all meet and this mare at 8-1 with a recent win is overlooked.

RACE 11 — Pace, $8,000, London Classic Sale Series, Ontario Sired 4YO & Younger, NW $10,000 Life

Top 3 Contenders:

  1. #4 Skip The Honey (1-1) — Three wins from three starts in 2026, most recently winning May 12 by 8 lengths in a stunning 1:54.3 — the fastest time on the entire card. Gregory Drew training at 75% win rate (3 from 4) and Rooney driving at 20%. Simply dominant.
  2. #5 Outrun The Odds (9-2) — Six wins from fourteen starts in 2026, ran third May 12 just 3½ lengths back, Jodie Cullen training at 41% — the most wins of any horse in this field and the clear second choice on form.
  3. #3 Sauble Ambush (3-1) — Ran second May 12 in 1:56.1 after spotting Skip the Honey a big lead — showed strong closing ability, Otis Hall training, Sorrie driving at 19%. The March/April form at Woodbine (Spring Series) against better horses gives him a class edge over most of this field.

Longshot Value Play: #2 Over Bet (4-1) Won outright on May 4 in 1:57.4 at London in gate-to-wire fashion, Joshua McKibbin training at 23% meet win rate, Macdonell driving — this is a $121,000 Lexington Selected yearling (by far the most expensive horse in this field) who is just finding his way. Won convincingly four starts ago and was pulled up May 12, but the talent is clearly there at 4-1.

RACE 12 — Pace, $5,500, Horses & Geldings, Claiming $8,000, NW $3,500 Last 5

Top 3 Contenders:

  1. #2 Captain Income (8-5) — Won last out May 11 at London in 1:57.3 wire to wire, Melissa Loyer training at 28% meet win rate, Galliers driving at 19% — a Captaintreacherous-bred that is clearly the class of this field based on career earnings of $143,000.
  2. #3 No Fool Mackinley (5-2) — Two wins from fifteen starts in 2026, consistent top-3 finisher in this class, Jason Sherman training at 6% win rate but Lorne House driving at 13% — has won wire to wire multiple times in March/April at London.
  3. #4 Go Nine O (3-1) — Won May 1 at London in 1:59.3 by a length and a quarter, Tess Waxman training at 27% win rate and Galliers driving — two wins from nine starts in 2026, closing in better form than his spring.

Longshot Value Play: #7 Scottish Bruiser (6-1) A 4-year-old by Believeinbruiser with a career best of 2:00 at a higher claiming level ($20,000 class), Robert Doyle training and driving at 11% win rate — but importantly, this horse ran third at the $20,000 claiming level on May 11 in 1:58.1, which is significantly faster than anything else in today’s $8,000 field. The class drop is massive and the 6-1 is a significant overlay.
