The Apple Cup lifts off from Pullman and this year’s edition should be one of the better ones in recent memory as there is simply so much on the line. A Washington win and they get a step closer to the College Football Playoff and QB Jake Browning continues his quest for a Heisman. A loss and the Mike Leach led Cougars could find themselves all the way back as far as Pac 12 supremacy goes, also dashing their bitter rivals shot at a special season.

The Huskies come off that tough loss at home to USC a couple weeks ago and a dominating win over ASU last week. The Cougars just keep winning and keep scoring a ton of points with the Air Raid offense, but were finally slowed down last week in a tough loss at Colorado, stopping an 8 game winning streak. This is going to be an up-tempo type of game that will see a ton of lead changes and some high drama.

I just look for the home crowd to give the Cougars the extra boost they need and they will not only cover the 6 point spread in this one but will win this one outright with a great mix of their high powered offense and some huge stops on defense against Browning and company.
