ODDS TO WIN 2018 THE NORTHERN TRUST (8/23/18)
Tiger Woods Career at a Glance:
As sports fans, we often have “The Goat” conversation. We all know who we think is the GOAT in a lot of sports, but the argument always continues. At this moment in history, one of the hottest GOAT arguments is LeBron vs. Jordan. Now, maybe for you there is no argument whatsoever and one of these gentleman is very clearly better than the other. Who knows? You do, even if others don’t agree with you, it’s your opinion and you have the right to have the opinion.
There are two arguments in the world of sports that need not be argued who the GOAT is; tennis and golf. In tennis the GOAT is without question Roger Federer. What he has done for the sport, transcends the sports and that makes him the greatest of all time. There are not many athletes that anybody can honestly point to and say; he transcends his sport. Quite possibly Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Wayne Gretzky, Babe Ruth, and Jim Brown, maybe just maybe, the players transcend their sport or did at one time.
Tiger Woods transcends the game of golf. He is the best golfer that ever played and there is a good reason for it; his stats don’t lie. It’s of course, difficult to compare players of one era to players of another era.
Tiger by the Numbers:
Tiger Woods has played in 334 PGA events for a total of 1,210 rounds of golf. He has mad 292 cuts in his career and has an eye popping 79 tour wins all while hitting the top ten, 190 times. Considering the competition that Tiger has faced over the years; his career numbers are over the top. Tiger has not won anything in a long time since rehab, physical therapy but he is getting better every time that plays.
